So Many Firsts

Since Nicole just threw her first temper tantrum (it was sooo cute/funny, but I didn't have the heart to videotape her), I decided to fill everyone in on her other firsts.
This week alone she has:
1) figured out how to go from crawling to sitting
2) figured out how to pull her self from sitting to standing (her crib matress will be moving a few notches lower tonight
3) say "mamamamamama"
4) do the hi sign from The Little Rascals
5) put things into a bucket

Here is a video of her doing the 'hi sign'

She has also found that she likes to crawl under  pieces of furniture.

Fun with Hannah

Last week Hannah came down from Idaho to visit. Here are some videos and pictures that she took.

For as long as I can remember, my dad has kept a pen in his front pocket. Nicole has figured this out and has made it her mission to keep it out of his pocket!

This next one is pretty funny because my mom found a video that Nicole LOVES to watch! It is Kermit the frog singing the alphabet song. They watch it 2-3 times a day when my mom is watching Nicole.

Nicole really enjoys watching movies......or at least removing all the movies.

And what better way to end this blog than with a picture of Nicole with Aunt Hannah! Nicole's pjs say "my auntie is a fox".

I pray that you enjoy the time you spend with your family and the memories that are made in the little things!!

Ready, Set, Go!

Nicole has learned a new trick this week: Crawling! There is no stopping her now that she has figured it out. She gets into everything and we have had to put gates up in our house. Here is a video of her motivating herself to crawl. Whenever she first learns something, she buzzes her lips as she tries (sooo cute!).

Four Years

This weekend Nick and I celebrated 4 years of marriage! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone and how much has changined in these four years. To celebrate, my mom took care of Nicole for the day so Nick and I could spend time together. We started the day with Nick doing homework and me cleaning the house (yup, we are real party animals). Later, we had massages done. Finally, we went out to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and dessert at Frosty Freeze. I can't wait to see what the next four years brings for us!

Here is Nick getting his massage! It was great because she came to our house!

Here is Nick at Joe's Crab Shack

I was so hungry that I took a bite of the menu....oops!

Anniversary gifts from our wonderful parents! We were going to use the movie tickets, but ran out of time. I guess there is another date night in store for us!

Snuggling with mom. Now that she's more mobile, she doesn't do this often enough!

Her shirt says "I've been practicing in mom's belly". Enough said.
Here is Nicole trying apples for the first time. After this bite, she really enjoyed them! Nick thought that it would be funny to quote Green Eggs and Ham.

We pray that your marriage is strong and that you find ways to continue dating no matter how long you have been married!

Where did my newborn go?

Today Nick and I were at Target buying a few things. One of the things I needed to get was another pair of pajama's since I don't seem to keep up on the laundry..... While we were looking at pj's, I held up a newborn pair to the 9 month pair that we were buying and I couldn't believe how much she has grown! Then we decided to look at the 12 month ones, and we were in complete denial that she will soon be that big!

Okay, and the real reason that you are looking at this blog post......videos of Nicole! I am posting videos of Nicole trying to crawl. Just keep this in mind (1) At this point in her little life, she will only attempt crawling when she is mad, so I'm not being mean, it's just the only time she will practice and (2) She doesn't wear clothes (it kills me to post pictures/video of her not in one of her many super cute outfits) because these are usually taken after eating her veggies (see other posts to see how messy that gets!) and she has a tendancy to get tripped up on clothes.

Okay, here is one picture I took of her to show that she is generally a dressed baby.

Remember to laugh often and celebrate the little things everyday!
